From technique to tactics

From technique to tactics

The technique of a sport consists of the execution of structural movements that obey a series of spatio-temporal patterns, which guarantee efficiency (Bedolla, 2003). That is, the player's ability to carry out different game actions (control, passing, driving, dribbling, hitting, interception, clearance...), according to the limitations of the regulations, with precision and at different speeds. Tactics are the process in which all physical, technical, theoretical, psychological and other possibilities are combined to provide an immediate solution to the different unforeseen and changing situations that are created in conditions of opposition and collaboration (Álvarez, 2002). It consists of the development of any game structure that is built based on the individual characteristics of the players available (collective tactics), as well as the intelligent use of skill by the player depending on the situation. game (individual tactics), taking into account the player's relationship with the position of the ball, rivals and teammates. Therefore, our final objective is to move from individual technique to individual tactics. This process requires mastery of the fundamental technical aspects, both offensive and defensive, that allow the player to generate general motor schemes that allow him to perform this type of actions unconsciously. The automatic execution of technical actions in football allows the player to focus his attention on the analysis of the environment, successfully solve situations that require decision-making and be able to develop tactical thinking. Individual tactics is, in this way, the element that allows the player to increase individual performance in the game, that is, being able to make the correct decisions in each situation, being able to execute the actions with precision and at the appropriate speed. relevant techniques. It is a decisive element, which facilitates integration into collective tactics. The ability to make correct decisions in pressure situations and at an appropriate speed will be decisive when it comes to integrating the player into the overall game in a sport like soccer, where the interaction between teammates and rivals is the ultimate determinant of performance. .
